Things to do
Apart from miles of golden sands the area is a popular area
for surfing, kite flying and sand sailing. The diverse nature
of the area is also popular with bird watchers. The South West
Coast path passes by the site and with in a short drive there
is easy access to the path both on the north and south coasts.
The Cornish way cycle trail is a short distance away
The area also offers easy access to West Cornwall's 300 miles
of coast, much of it owned by the National Trust.
There are many pubs, restaurants and take-away s close by.
St Ives with its many galleries including the Tate is only a
10-minute drive away or alternatively experience fantastic sea
views and go by train.
Hayle town and shops, Karting Boating, Riding and Lelant Golf
course are all with in an easy drive.
A little further are the towns of Penzance, Newquay, Helston,
and also Flambards theme park, Poldark mine and Geek seal sanctuary.
Within a one hour drive is the county town of Truro, The Lizard,
Landsend, Goonhilly downs, Mousehole, Mevagissey, Bodmin and
many tropical gardens including The Lost gardens of Heligan
and The Eden Project.
